Greetings to all. I’m glad you stopped by. The COP29 climate summit has come to a conclusion. I’ve got a thorough review for you. As the Atlantic tropical cyclone season wraps up, this will be the final week of hurricane preparedness information. Along with this week’s US Drought Monitor update there are several good reads, so let’s get started.

- We’re all aware of how much of a genius Albert Einstein was. After many decades, much of his theories still hold fast.
- The COP29 climate summit has wrapped up. The results from this years summit is a mixed bag of progress.
- Forests are just one of many facets of our planet that can give us information on the health of our environment.
- This is an excellent read on how changes in climate is affecting European summers.
- Does the fall in the northern hemisphere have any hazards? Absolutely so. Here’s a good overview of those hazards and how you can stay safe.
- Here’s the latest update on the US Drought Monitor. Drought conditions have changed very little this week across most of the contiguous USA. Of note are extreme to exceptional drought conditions that continue from the northern Rockies, the deep south, the southern plains, and into the Ohio/West Virginia region. The latest fire weather outlooks can be found at the Storm Prediction Center website where they are updated daily.

HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS
