ISAIAS: Time To Prepare Is Now!

Isaias is coming, and the time to prepare is TODAY. The National Hurricane Center’s latest advisory shows Isaias on track to bring hurricane conditions to Louisiana east to the Florida Panhandle with landfall expected late Friday into early Saturday. Flooding and power outages can strike hundreds of miles inland, so do not assume you are safe because you are away from the coast. Finish every preparation sooner than later. Stay tuned to your local National Weather Service office and trusted local broadcast meteorologists for the latest updates, and follow every evacuation order from local officials without hesitation. Regardless of intensity at landfall, Isaias will bring the possibility of flooding rains, many hours of damaging straight line winds, and the possibility of a few tornadoes.
